Hey Reader,
Before we stepped on stage together for my interview at Stylist Live with Ellen C. Scott, we had met on Zoom to do a Time Audit together (read Ellen’s article on her time audit experience that was published in Stylist magazine here).
She wanted to find better ways to use her time and figure out what was actually getting in the way.
Well… last week Ellen’s book “Working on Purpose” was launched and is officially out in the world.
She’s posted on Instagram: “I honestly don’t think I could have written this without having done the time audit with you, so you have my eternal gratitude.”
Because that’s exactly what the audit gave her: the space to write.
I’m yet to fully read the book, but from a quick flick through I can’t wait to dive in properly. It’s thoughtful, relatable and packed with stories, insights and prompts to help you rethink your work and build a working life that feels meaningful.
I was lucky enough to contribute to a small section on time blocking and time audits, which is super exciting!
“A time audit will give you a clear picture of how you are truly spending your time, not how you think you spend it.”
If you’ve been thinking about where all your time’s going lately, maybe now’s a good time to take a look.
Tiny shifts can open up big space… for writing, thinking, resting… or finally starting that thing you keep putting off.
Hit reply to chat, I’d love to hear from you.
Best,
Sarah
